The things you were wearing and carrying at the time the world got corrupted are not.First, try creating a 'new' world with the exact same name. If successful you will spawn back in the last place you were with your inventory intact.'

If you want to keep your stuff, start the whole procedure from the top. After filling your inventory in BlankWorld, make sure to put a stack of in the first slot. When you suffocate, try to escape by looking up and using the ender pearls.

You can also try to put yourself at a higher altitude in BlankWorld. You may then die from fall damage, but your items will still be there after you respawn. Okay, so, i was playing Minecraft and my power suddenly went out. Well it comes back on and i sign back into Minecraft, and the singleplayer world i just started was gone:/ And i really liked the world.Well, i looked in the.minecraft folder, and the file is still there. In the file are:'data' folder'region' folder'level' DAT file'level.datold' DATOLD file'session.lock' LOCK file.Thye only thing that worries me is that the data folder is empty, and the region folder has 6 MCA files. I dont know what is supposed to be in folder, or folders inside of it:/So, whats missing?

Is there a way to retrieve it? Should i upload the file and let one of you fix it? You're basically screwed. Had the same sort of thing happen to me. The world still exists but is corrupt in some way that it won't show up in the selection list.

Would be nice if mojang actually spent some time making the whole auto-saving process a hell of a lot more robust but I doubt that will ever happen.Check the support forum I think. There's a couple threads of guys that will attempt to fix your world.
